SMART is southeast Michigan's only regional transit system, serving Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties.
Convenient
- SMART provides over 10 million rides annually taking people to work, school, doctor's offices, shopping centers and more.
- The SMART bus system offers a variety of fixed route and curb-to-curb service options and programs.
Reliable
- Up to one-half of all SMART Connector trips take people to the doctor - often for kidney dialysis.
- SMART provides more than 1 million rides a year for seniors and people with disabilities.

- New SMART drivers receive nearly 280 hours of training.
- All SMART buses are equipped with the latest technology - Cameras & GPS.
Eco-Friendly
- 1/2 of the Connector fleet are propane powered; cleaner burning vehicles.
- SMART recycles annually:
- 600 tires
- 600 gallons of antifreeze
- 28,890 gallons of oil
